Diabetes can lead to circulation problems and nerve changes which can result in medical complications including neuropathy and impaired blood circulation in the hands and feet.  The result can be numbness, burning sensation, ulcerations, infections or other symptoms.

There are three types of diabetes:  Type 1 is when the pancreas produces little to no insulin.  Type 2 is when the pancreas produces little insulin or the body is not able to effectively use the insulin that is produced.  Type 2 Diabetes can be a result of lifestyle and is the most common form of diabetes.  Type 3 is gestational diabetes which can occur during pregnancy and is generally a temporary condition.
